Exiled Exchange 2 Not Displaying Values? Fix Price Checks

If Exiled Exchange 2 is not displaying values, first identify what is missing: item stats, filter ranges, trade listings, or secondary price data. These symptoms happen at different stages and need different fixes.

The app does not assign a guaranteed price automatically. The official Quick Start explains that you choose relevant filters and evaluate listings yourself.

Symptom Map

| Symptom | Likely layer | | --- | --- | | No window appears | Hotkey, display mode, permissions, clipboard | | Item name but no stats | Parsing, language, item data | | Stats but empty results | League, filters, complex query, trade service | | Question marks or blanks | Data source, unsupported item, service issue | | One item fails | Item/modifier-specific parsing | | Every item fails | Version, configuration, network, league data |

1. Test a Known Item

Use Ctrl + D on a common currency and a known unique before a complex rare. If common items show values, focus on the failing item's modifiers, language, category, or filters.

If all items fail, update the app and inspect league loading, clipboard, logs, and network responses.

2. Verify Item Text

Hover the item, press Ctrl + C, and paste into a text editor. Exiled Exchange 2 reads this clipboard text.

If it is absent or incomplete, use Windowed or Windowed Fullscreen, close clipboard and macro tools, match permission levels, quit duplicate tray instances, and avoid remote services that do not forward clipboard data.

For a missing overlay, use the not-working guide.

3. Understand Pseudo Stats

Some item stats are grouped into pseudo stats. Separate elemental resistances may appear as one combined total. A stat that looks missing may be represented differently.

Compare detected totals with copied item text. Do not select every modifier automatically: an over-constrained query can hide useful comparisons.

4. Adjust Search Filters

The values beside filters are ranges, not an automatic appraisal. For empty results:

  1. keep the defining modifier;
  2. remove low-impact modifiers;
  3. broaden min/max ranges;
  4. disable unnecessary exact values;
  5. retry once;
  6. compare several listings.

For rare gear, price depends on modifier combinations and current demand.

5. Confirm League and Trade Data

Verify the current league. A stale or failed league list can prevent a valid search.

If the request fails, follow the trade-site request failed guide. Check service availability, VPN/proxy, firewall events, and response details.

6. Update Officially

Install the latest stable build from the official project download or GitHub Releases.

A new item, modifier, language string, or league may require updated data. Quit the tray process before installing.

7. Check Language-Specific Parsing

If only localized item text fails, record the client language and copy working and failing examples. Testing English temporarily can isolate localization, but report the localized failure so it can be fixed.

8. Distinguish No Results from No Value

An empty result can be valid when the item is rare or new, filters are too strict, the league has few listings, the exact roll is uncommon, or the service is temporarily incomplete. Broaden the query before treating it as a failure.

9. Check Logs

Look for ClipboardPoller, no item text, no stats to select, league-loading failure, invalid JSON, HTTP timeout/status, parser identifiers, or t.replace exceptions.

For the last case, use the t.replace guide.

10. Test Without Conflicts

Close other POE overlays, recording tools, GPU overlays, clipboard managers, keyboard utilities, and VPN clients. Restart one Exiled Exchange 2 instance and restore applications one at a time.

11. Back Up and Reset Configuration

Back up apt-data, quit the app, rename %APPDATA%\exiled-exchange-2, and test clean settings. Do not delete the only copy of your configuration.

Price-Check Best Practices

Compare multiple listings, choose build-relevant modifiers, use pseudo totals, broaden ranges for imperfect rolls, verify the league, and treat suspiciously low listings cautiously.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are there question marks?

The app may lack data from a source, the item may be unsupported or newly changed, or a request may have failed.

Why are there no stats?

The text may not have parsed, a modifier may be grouped as a pseudo stat, or current data may not recognize it.

Does the app calculate the exact value?

No. It helps build and display a search; the player evaluates comparable listings.

Final Checklist

Test common items, verify clipboard text, find pseudo stats, broaden filters, confirm league data, update officially, test language parsing, inspect logs, close conflicts, and reset only after a backup.
